Should I choose to get my images back in TIFF, JPEG or both file formats?
TIFF files are recommended if you will be doing additional enhancement or editing your files as it is a lossless format. The downside of TIFF files are their large size, and that they are less a common file format than JPEGs. JPEGs are compressed, so they are about a fourth the size of the TIFF files. JPEGs are the most commonly used file format for images, so most any application that deals with images will be able to deal with JPEGs.
