Do you tape video on your smart phone that you will later want to watch on your TV? If so, make sure you turn your phone horizontally, not vertically.
You might ask, why tape horizontal? The reason is taping the other way (vertically) will result in having two big black bars on either side of the video when being played on your TV screen. Not sure what this means?

So what’s the lesson here? If you’re catching precious moments of video on your smart phone, turn the phone horizontally, exactly as you see in the picture below. This will result in the video showing up on the entire space of your TV.

If you tape video with your Phone, don’t suffer from VVS (Vertical Video Syndrome)! Not sure what VVS is? It’s when people hold the phone vertically instead of horizontally while taping video. And eventually, when those videos are transferred off of the phone to view on a TV screen or internet, they look bad.
